Congrats on the birds, it was a great morning to be out! We saw lots of birds as well. Had a pretty good size group of Pintails come through. It's the first time I've seen them at our lease.
Unfortunately, my hunting partners and their dogs like to play in the decoys when birds are flying over. Right at LST seems to be their favorite time to romp around in the water and bang around in the blind.
I'm trying to get my work done so I can maybe sneak out in the morning for a solo hunt.

justin_h635 and myself hit the wigeon hole this morning, finally has some water back in it after being super low or dry for several years. It's still good for a few wigeon, gads and teal.

You guys are killing me! I got a deer in the freezer last weekend and took the family to Branson this weekend. Got 9 days off coming after this week. Things are about to get a lot tougher for the ducks.....

Heard of a hunter killing a banded Canvasback today. It was banded in 2003!
Wow, that's got some years on it. A guy my wife works with shot a redhead near Cordell 2 years ago and the band was so worn that only a couple of numbers were legible. They were trying to work with him to get if figured out, but not sure if they ever did.
We're covered up with ducks. Roads are bad. And as usual, the split starts Monday......thank you ODWC. There will be a lot of birds here the last 2 weeks of January also....season closed though......thanks ODWC. Thanks for giving us two weeks during the middle of October when there are little to no birds here. Yearly rant over, thanks for reading, I'll go away now.
