I went to go hunting this afternoon leaving early to set some raccoon traps at one feeder, and find out why another isn't dropping corn.
Drove 45 minutes to the unloading area, and the 4 wheeler wouldn't start. Finally hooked jumpers to the truck to the ATV and it just would not fire.
Pulled the air cleaner off to make sure it was getting air. No bueno.
I wasn't walking the mile to the other stands to set traps, etc, with all the gear so just came home. Fired up the 36 year old Honda ATC three wheeler, hooked it up to the pull behind fertilizer spreader and spread 50 lbs of Fescue seed in advance of the rain that is supposed to fall tonight.

This was an exciting morning for a couple reasons. First, I got to see one of my good bucks up close and personal (10 yards). I’ve been watching him on camera all summer, and it was cool to finally see him in person. I watched him for about 45 minutes before he moved on.

As I headed out, I had to cross the “dry” channel of the Salt Fork which has been running for about 3 weeks, but it’s been low enough to cross without getting water in the floorboard of my Ranger. Well, evidently, Kansas got rain this morning, because it was up about a foot since I crossed at 6 this morning. Let’s just say my floorboards are clean now… 😲

The more I look at your deer photo, that is the Doppelganger to mine from the 11th....although mine has a barely scorable 11th point.

Yeah...you have more discipline than I do, I would have tagged out on that one.
