The count is done from the lake area some how. I can't remember how many guys are part of it or the details. @Jared ?I can’t answer that, but if they’re in the count, there’s not a single duck in the rest of the county.

They used to fly it with a plane. I heard at some point that the cost got to be to much and that method was scrapped.
Scratched out just two on a really slow morning. Just as I suspected, the frozen water last weekend seemed to push most of my ducks out. Groups of 10-30 turned into singles and pairs. Be nice to get a nice push before the end of the season.
Son and I are going to try our little pond at the lease in the morning. It will be a totally blind hunt as I haven’t been up there since the cold snap.
30 minutes in…2 GWT and a woodie. It’s 61°. Surprised to see a woodie after that cold spell last week!
