It’s a Henry 357, basically zero recoil, so he loves shooting it
I'm shut out so far.
Two days sitting out from 6am in the woods, freezing my butt.
Opening day there were half a dozen little does around. Wednesday there were 0.
All the Kansas high school state football championship games are tomorrow. Heavy snow and high winds predicted throughout the day, that could get entertaining.
This is hands down the worst year I’ve seen on the river. I saw a decent 8 point behind a doe and two other does on the food plots yesterday evening and a nice young 8 point and a doe this morning. Camera activity is the worst I can remember too.

I sat for about 3 hours this morning. The activity is way down from one week ago. Saw a few does and two little bucks. My target buck has been MIA since last Sunday. I’ll probably go back out this evening and try again.
I saw a total of 6 this morning only one was a buck, little forky maybe. On the way home we about hit a doe, I told my wife there’ll be a buck coming as the doe had her mouth wide open, breathing hard.
We pulled over and sure enough here comes a shooter, probably an 8-10 point.
But of the ones I saw when I was in the blind, I was able to put a .44 from the SBH into this one.
