Well I did it fellas I filled my buck tag lol all jokes aside I have been hunting public all week and I’m pretty sure there are 5 hunters per deer on public in Osage county. I have had people walk right past me ten minutes after shooting light, had some set up directly in front of me facing me with the wind at their back and guys spread out on the property line shooting everything that comes to the fence I parked the truck in a spot where it didn’t look like there was a deer within miles but there was nobody there I walked into the timber not ver far and a half rack small buck was standing there so I shot him loaded him up and came home. I’m pretty sure God said here you go you don’t need to be dragging one very far with your bad heart. I gave my thanks to him and the buck and came home with a smile on my face. First and only deer I have had within 700 yards of me View attachment 532544

Sat all day yesterday, best that came by below (hoping this little guy makes it a couple years). Not a mature deer in sight all week so far.

Went out with my brother in law today, saw a lot of young ones out when it was windy, but as soon as the wind died about 430, this nice 8 came out and he let him have it.

I was gonna get the doe he was chasing but lost her when he shot the buck, that’s okay cause it was enough work just processing him tonight.

Just as soon as i killed a doe, i got my cell phone picts from my other place, where i almost hunted. wouldn't you know it my shooter buck showed up at 930a, again, at 11:30am-1pm with a doe he wasn't leaving, and then two other 2-1/2 years old, from noon - 2pm. I quickly realizing what was happening i went and got into that stand, spooked two bucks walking in, and only saw a spike from 2pm-6pm... way it goes.
clearly she was ready... He has been MIA since.
We have been experiencing similar problems.

We shot these doe’s Tuesday morning. One I shot the night before I couldn’t find it. Went back the next morning and grandson picked up the blood on a tree 15’ off where I shot her. His dad shot a nice 8 and he shot a real nice bladed buck I call it. I got to get my buck and one more doe. We had a monster coming in and out of a hog pin eating corn and a kind fella drove by and set there until he scared it off. We shot two of the doe’s 475 yards out in a cut Milo field. Liked to never found them. I hunted the box blind and my son hunted a tripod. It was windy that day. Didn’t see anything we wanted to shoot. We also found out we had three dogs running the deer. Maybe why the big fellow's want come out until dark. Want say anything else about the dogs… it was nice by the heater for this old man. Had a heavy heart for my boy in that tripod 😆. Going back down next week, hopefully it will snow or get colder. We hunted Jackson county. Can take 6 deer total 4 does and two bucks covering all season then 2 sides during holiday hunt don’t count towards season. I hope all of you find what you’re looking for and have a blessed thanksgiving with your families.
