Caught two poacher/trespassers hunting one of my Ponds. They went away very hastily after a discussion about coming on another persons property.

I cannot comprehend how a person/persons can fathom in their mind that it is Ok to go onto another persons property without permission.
Probably what the natives thought when the settlers moved in. Look at it now..

Did a half day hunt yesterday with nothing but does and 8 points in the field.

Decided to do a full day sit today. There was nothing moving. Hawks and a few ducks.
About 4:30 it’s like someone left the gate open. Deer were everywhere.
About dusk. A decent buck was making its way across the stubble field. When he got to the feeder, a 100 grain Speer SPBT from the .243 WSSM turned his chest into a plow as he disappeared into the tree row.
A 5 minute search found him in the high grass.
Dragged him out to open ground snd the work began.

Edit: left the gut pile in front of the game cam that looks over the feeder to see whats going to be feeding on it and see how quick the deer move back to the feeder.
I’ve done this before and it didn’t deter the deer from hitting the feeder. We will get another chance to test my theory that it doesn’t matter where you field dress one of them.

Nice deer Dennis! Based on pics tonight, I should have been in the stand too.

Well, the theory that field dressing a deer near a feeder has no effect on deer visiting a feeder is proven once again with pics.
This deer is 20’ away from the gut pile.
There is standing water nearby that fogs up at night, which is why the pic is cloudy.
