I'm one that has been thinking about buying the new Ruger. I can't say I've ever measured groups out of it but my old Ruger MKII has killed numerous yard critters and snakes in the woods. I feel it is accurate. I'd like to have a single action 22 though. Honestly, I considered buying a heritage after a member here yesterday posted that Atwood's was selling em for $100 but I think I'll still wait til I fondle a new Ruger.
I've had my eye on a Ruger Single 10? with the fiber optic sights. If it is as accurate as it is beautiful (6.5" barrel), I wouldn't regret blowing $600+ on a rimfire revolver.

I got to go shoot Friday ( it was very hot, late in the afternoon) I mounted the Nikon Rimfire Scope I bought for my Ruger Rimfire on my Sig Sauer 522 rifle, shot 10 inches low, adjusted the turret, dead on. I brought my 10/22 it shot excellent also, I moved to the swinger at 25 yards, the SR22 and S&W compact as well as my S&W 41 & I have an older 6 shot 617 4” barrel revolver did well, but what surprised me the most was my P229 .22lr conversion, it shot very good, right up there with the 41 and 617. I was using bulk Federal 36 grain that I bought at Cabela’s When I was coming back from the Tinker Air Show — I have a Ruger LCR .22lr with a 1 7/8 barrel, I was getting the hang of, I messed up and mounted a new white line front sight, now I can’t seem to hit the 25 yard swingers. I really like shooting .22lr, I met a OSA member on a trade once, he said shooting was like an addiction. I sure seemed to enjoy it!

I read the thread about the new Ruger Wrangler and some wanted it and I admit I do not mind the looks of it I am not so much into looks as I am accuracy.

I had a Rough Rider 22 and sold it after trying many different kinds of ammo in it.
The gun was not accurate.
If I wanted to shoot a rabbit in the head it would need to be closer than 25 feet or that Ruger would miss or maybe not miss. I had a few people shoot it and it was the same shotgun pattern.

Did i get a dud?
My Phoenix Arms 22 pistol is accurate enough to hit the rabbit in the head every time.

Do not get me wrong the Phoenix is not tack driver accurate but it is 4x more accurate than the Rough Rider.

My friend and i were shooting 22LR I had a stevens gill gun that was my grandfathers and he had his grandfathers 22 revolver with 12" barrel.
100 yards shooting at cans.
He just about never missed a shot with that 22 revolver. This was way back in 1986.
I always wondered what make that gun was and that is one reason I got the Ruger. I thought it may shoot as well as that very old revolver my buddy was shooting.

I have yet to see a .22 pistol that accurate.

What is your most accurate .22 pistol.
And what kind of groups can you shoot with it and is it picky on ammo?
For me it be a Ruger MKII SS bull slab side. It’s like a 6 or 7 inch barrel. Dang thing is a tack driver. You have to work to miss your target. Dang gun is that good
