22LR round misfire

Closest I've ever seen was one of our rookies left an open box of 40s sitting out on the firing line and an ejected casing hit one of the live rounds and it went off, destroying that end of the styrofoam box. No one hurt but now all boxes must be covered at all times.

Never heard of a 22 doing that.

That's pretty crazy - if it was remotely common - they'd never ship 22lr in bulk.
