Any guesses to its value in the condition shown? Just curious.
Like I said, I know I'll never see my money back, but I bought it to shoot, not to flip, as well as to help out a family member.
This is the first time I actually told my wife I was paying too much for something I wanted
It will likely never be a collector's item as so many were built. I'm in the boat with getting it refinished to new condition.
But they are supposed to send all the old parts back with the gun so you can convert back to original if you wantIf it hasn't had the safety conversion done, I wouldn't do it. They will probably do it while they have it and the trigger won't be the same.
I've never wanted to chance it lolBut they are supposed to send all the old parts back with the gun so you can convert back to original if you want
I seen several new model single sixes at the Tulsa show for $750!IF sent to Ruger, they will convert to transfer bar. Before the Fauci biohazard, the parts were sent back. That is no longer happening.
As it is, value is $350-$400, a '53 COULD add a premium to the right buyer.
A good shooter, reblued, could bring $500-$550.
I have seen some LISTED for $600. Doesn't mean sold.
I would get it reblued and shoot the crap out of it.
I have a 3-screw and newer stainless.
I shoot the 3-screw more, when I can get it away from grandson. Thought he would go for the "purty" stainless. At 10yo, he says the 3-screw feels better.
Don't doubt that. Betting they didn't sell.I seen several new model single sixes at the Tulsa show for $750!
I seen several at that price, new model Super Blackhawks were a grand and Bisley's $1500. Seen one of the newer .454 Bisley's for $2200! Just can't believe people would actually pay that.Don't doubt that. Betting they didn't sell.
Seeing Blackhawks over a grand.
Ruger isn't making many, at present. Pumping out Wranglers as fast as possible. $250 vs $750 would be tough on most people.
