But they are supposed to send all the old parts back with the gun so you can convert back to original if you want

They will do just that.

You are a TEASER! I need a 58. Dude you got cool knives, lanterns and a 22 oldie!

Was yours converted? Mine was, since the grandkids were to shoot it on the way up the calibers.

I just picked up a 1977 few days ago. I enjoy these 22’s.

Six digit serial number number starts with 136xxx.

Mine is # 324422 , have mag. cylinder , no RED bag....yr. of mfg. chart is a bit confusing , seems 2 B late 50's.....early yrs only shows 5 digits.....i'm probably reading it wrong....see pic of 1 my holsters , gun with the stag grips in it is a beauty,,,,holster made by Pony Express in Cal. shell loops are for .45 , used to also carry the Ruger Blackhawk in 44 mag, , sure brought down many a deer.....

No it hasn't been converted. I carried it checking traps as a teenager. My dad bought it probably in the 60's , it had a broken hammer. He fixed it and that is the history that I know. My dad had a pawn/ gun shop in the early 70's and helped his parents run an otasco before that. I saved my money while my time in the Navy and we built a building and opened a gun/ fishing/ tool store. He ran it for 20 years. He was a ffl for most of my life. I had a lot of guns and knives over the years.

Best to check with Ruger.

Last I got from them, since starting back up from Covid shutdown, they are not sending parts back. They are not fitting .45 ACP cylinders to .45 Colt.

You might could specify, but I know of 1 that was sent for repair (not trigger / hammer related) and they put the transfer bar in. Lawyers most likely had something to do it.

Things may change, as time goes on, but unmolested 3-screw are getting a lot of interest.

My 3, will not go back.
Haven't heard anything about .22s.
