I've walked away from plenty of Duramax's and Cummins. A lot of them modded, exhaust, stacked tuners, etc. I'm sure there's lots of guys that could beat mine, I just haven't ran into them yet. The closest race I had was with a modded Cummins. I stayed in it a little longer than I normally would and cooked my EGT probe. Had to buy a new one after that race. Ha!

Hiding from all you crazy people!!!
As far as not needing a 3/4. I want the bigger cabin space, they ride better in my opinion, and half tons just feel underpowered. Call me crazy but I buy what I want and just want to make a good decision. Diesels last much longer than a gasser. Who doesnt need a truck to last longer ?

Hey I buy what I want as well so I'm with ya all the way there buddy LOL I also like the cab space of my SD, but trust me it's not worth it if you don't use tye truck for it's intended purpose. Mine is for sale right now cause of that reason.
BUT a 3/4 or 1 ton rides no where near as nice I don't care who you are. Plus a straight axel front....
As far as half tons being underpowered, a few hundred bucks in a 5.3 will get you damn near 400HP and a 6.2 is a beast!!!!
Your last statement about longevity shows you have not much or no knowledge of trucks. Maybe 30 years ago when a gas burner was wore out at 100k miles, ya maybe. But most all gas motors now are good for about 300k miles. Do you know what the recomended rebuild life of any light duty diesel is???? 300k miles! Have you seen the price difference in rebuild/replace between the two......

CHenry, what tune were you running? There are 6.4 trucks putting up those numbers but not on a tune only . Are you sure you didnt also have a DPF and/or Cat delete, intake, or some spray? To run those numbers you would have to put a major beating on the trans doing high boost launches, was the trans stock too?

To not be so sure on the dyno numbers is one thing but to claim running in the 12's with an over 8800lb (4x4 crew cab dually?) truck with nothing but a tune is sounding pretty hard to believe.

Or just buy a stock ram with the hemi. The 2012 has 390hp and the 2013 gets a bump to 395.

Exactly, You just won't get 20mpg doing it and youll be stricken with a dodge truck LOL
But If you wanna compare apples to apples then compare the Hemi to the 6.2

MPG is over rated. What do you want a priuis or a truck? All this talk about drag racing and you want to bring MPGs into it.

Mopar > Ford/Chevy Have owned all 3 at one point.
