Nice afternoon on the front porch, enjoying the north breeze and using my Lee Hand Press. As a bonus, I’m ready for any unfriendly Bison that might wander by. Ya just never know!

I don’t see why the press would make a difference on black powder loads versus smokeless powder loads.

You can use a press for anything. It the knowledge of the difference between BP powder loads and smokeless powder loads that make the difference.
BP is a volumetric measure. Smokeless powder is by weight.

Very well. I was compressing this load (4.3 cc of Goex FFg) about 1/4 when seating the bullet with no problem.

Black powder must be compressed correct? Can’t have empty space like when reloading smokeless?
