Wow! Academy had one of the most impressive black friday sales i've seen in a while. Did anyone else pick up a Rossi .357 revolver for $199.00? I picked one up for my wife (she's not picky). They had lots of other specials that run until tomorrow. Its worth the trip.

It was 279.99 and it was the URX model with a free browning knife. I picked one up and will order a fluted threaded TS barrel next week. Great deal IMO. They also had the Mossberg Maverick for $140!

I was going to pick up a couple of the heritage .22's for $99 to give as gifts this year, but they said they sold out at 5:30 this morning. I didn't get there until afer 8 this evening when I got off work. Oh well, only missed it by about 15 hours.

I went to pick up a Diamondback DB380 but was disappointed that it appeared to be a cheap version with no dot sights and a crappy parkerizing job on the slide. The original DB380 was much nicer and had dot sights. I left very disappointed.
