If the ban fails, you'll be seeing AR's flood the market at reasonable prices. If you're afraid it will pass, find a stripped lower with a price you can stand and build one a little at a time. Keep in mind that the lower may never be worth what you paid for it.

Just be patient. People that are spending their last 1500 on an AR will need that money back soon. Good things come to those that wait. Don't ever buy in a panic.

Hell lever guns were the first "assault rifles"

No, match lock blunderbusses were the the first assault rifle, then came the newfangled flintlock smooth bores. I'll bet the enemy didn't feel that was "fair".
Rifled flintlocks made the battlefield especially dangerous.
I think you see where I'm going with this?

I meant that they were the first rifle that could reliably and rapidly feed one bullet after another. Anti's don't care about accuracy, they care how fast it can spew lead.

I just thought about this, I could sell one of my AR's go by an awesome bolt action and very nice scope on it, and if and when this all blows over, I could by my AR back with the money I have left over. hmm... Seriously, all of this chaos is starting to get to me. I wish people would calm down, I understand why the panic, but look at what we're doing to ourselves.

No problem. I was just giving a more broad definition of what an assault rifle is, because every action from then until now has originated from military weapons, and that us what the anti's are associating the AR with.

I've seen a few AK's (century arms) for $750, that's about a 3rd more than some I seen at the TAS in November, still cheaper than an AR! That was a week or so ago.

Screwed?

Not unless you think life depends on having a "cheap" AR.

AR-15's are awesome, but there is so much more out there to be satisfied with.

To be honest I haven't shot my AR in months, I shoot my AK sooo much more and Id rather have an AK given the choice of the two for personal defense, plinking, or tyrannical govts :wink2:

If you didn't have one by now you must not have really wanted one or needed one. If you do really need one, buy a $2k one and dont fret, money comes and goes, apparently AR's are "rare" :D

BTW, no one needs one just because they're sought after at this moment in time, no matter what the crowd tells ya. If lacking an AR is your only problem, you're far from screwed. Keep your head up Bro. It'll be alright.
