Doxy is the same. It’ll jack your kidneys up.
Doxycycline is the worst. I still have issues from taking it, or at least I have been told that its why I had the issues I do.
I had combat bottles of it on hand and on long rotations, each guy got a 100 count bottle for malaria prophylaxis. Then BOB would burn them up so they'd stop taking it and I'd have to ride their *****.
However, if I had only one drug to use for pretty much everything antimicrobial, it would be doxy. No good IDM/IDC goes anywhere without it in their kit.
It doesn't f*ck with your psych like Mefloquine. I stopped issuing that sh*t and collected it up and just kept using doxy.
Interesting that you don't care your insult, hasn't been an insult since 1999. That was when they changed the national credentialing to Certified Respiratory Therapist and Registered Respiratory Therapist. And they now have an Advanced Practice Respiratory Therapist that is the equivalent of PA or NP level, in some states, but not here yet.
Jason, I’ve spoken to a lot of fellow health professionals on here, but don’t know of any “techs” on here (RT techs, nursing techs, emt, PT, etc) .
However, I gotta give Resp Therapists their due. You guys have a hard job & are experts in your scope & don’t get the credit or $ you deserve. I’m glad your profession has grown from the OJT level to now degree requirement & license requirements to practice & now grad degrees & expanded scope of practice. I believe you’re on the same professional level as RN’s as your license has similar degree/licensure requirements & allows for independent assessment’s ( unlike LPN’s) . I’ve also dated a few RT’s over the years & can verify they have a higher skill level then the docs & NP’s that I’ve dated

Good point about tetracycline and doxycycline. Sometimes I don’t write everything down that I think I do when “typing” on my phone. 
I ended up getting a good stock of Amoxicillin, Cipro, Cephalexin and Metronidazole. Another thing a failed to mention is that my doctor lives a half mile down the road and there are several doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses in my neighborhood. If anything bad ever happened, personally more concerned about natural disasters than zombie hoards, there are plenty of well educated resources right across the street.

They removed because they obfuscated what their actual board certified job was. No matter how many times they were asked. After I called them out on it, they changed it to something else. IDK why you wouldn't want to let anyone know what kind of jod you do if you're a medical professional??? Maybe it's because he was making it sound like he was Doogie Howser when he was actually Dr. Death. Phony IMO.

Can’t get anything from your local stores for any animal now, it’s all run through a vet. No problem, me and my cows will just perfect our natural immunity this way.
When I was still practicing, I mainly ran vents on kids although I worked adults at various times in my career. I can see why some people might call them death machines, when dealing with adults, but kids were a little different. We generally got them off the vent and if we couldn't they went to Bethany Children's Center, where they could live on them. I remember watching one little girl in the PICU, learn to walk on a ventilator (her insurance wouldn't let her leave for some reason). She had seriously been there too long. All in all I spent about 20 years working critical care patients, everything from the tiniest premature baby to adult trauma. I was in 3 Critical Hours and 2 Trauma Life in the ERs, but the docs hogged all the screen time, you would see me in the background bagging usually.
