Anybody else get a weird state tax rejection?

Before I knew of Intuit's idiocy, I bought a new copy of Turbo Tax, since that's what I've always used, and I can just import from the previous year. I did my taxes over the weekend after receiving the last bit of information I was missing. I get an email early this morning saying my state tax return was rejected due to the Federal taxing agency rejecting my federal return. Federal return status: pending.
Googled the message and it appears a whole pile of people are having their state returns rejected for this same reason. Anybody else? I guess I will wait until Friday, possibly Monday to see what happens with my Federal to see if it's rejected.

Now that I thought about it a few minutes with an awake brain, I think the states are trying to process returns before the federal gets processed, and since federal won't start processing until Wednesday, the states are rejecting the return. I'll just refile on Wednesday for the state of OK for my $140 back

I know that the IRS was very late this year in finalizing some of the tables and rates because the fiscal cliff mess dragged on and on and wasn't resolved until Jan 2nd and their advice was to wait until at least Jan 23rd before everything is totally up to date.
Is it possible that Intuit jumped the gun and released their software before that and now returns based on that software are getting kinked up at the IRS?

I got a text yesterday from turbo tax saying my federal was accepted early and my state is still showing pending. State usually is accepted before my federal. Something is screwy this year.

Also, I had filed all of mine over a week ago. I guess the IRS went ahead and started early because of the already back log of e filers. Approved 2 days early.

Yeah my federal was still pending as of 5:30 this morning and state was rejected because of federal. There may be problems this year for anyone who claims educational credits like we did for my wife. F'in IRS.

What pisses me of the most is the IRS taxed me on what I received as a refund on my 2011state taxes!! Hey a$$es!! I already payed taxes on my income and you over taxed me!! It's not extra income!! It's the income I should of had in the first place!!

My federal was accepted but they said they won't start processing until the 30th. Funny, but if we put the IRS off when it comes to paying taxes they penalize us and charge interest.

I'm in no particular hurry to file mine. I'm thinking April 15th.
