Never mind! It's obvious that some people here cannot have a civil discussion about things that are gun related without going off on character assassination or tagging someone with derogatory labels. For others it seems that even with examples, the most simple conversations are still way above their level of understanding. As for myself, from now on I'll reserve my thoughts to those few that are able to actually hold an intelligent conversation.

Do whatever makes you feel better . . . that's perfectly fine.

I don't believe the example you brought up to me has anything to do with buying a brace because while they're both intended and marketed for a similar group of people, they don't have the same requirements to use/buy.

If thinking your comparison is a huge stretch makes me less intelligent to you . . . then so be it. I'll be fine.

I have to agree, the example doesn't work.
Parking in a handicapped space legitimately takes away parking from a handicapped person, but there's no scarcity of braces, so using a brace takes nothing from them.
You're welcome to build a go-cart from an old wheelchair as long as there are plenty of wheelchairs available, but you don't block the only wheelchair ramp.

I think the problem comes down to the fact that ever since states like California started instituting unconstitutional limits on 2A rights, there's been a "will it hold up in court" cat and mouse game.

Subjectively, an AR Pistol looks more like a rifle than a pistol, but legally is a pistol by the definitions in the law.
Subjectively an AR Pistol with a brace looks uniquely like an SBR, especially when shouldered by someone with no apparent arm issues, but legally is a pistol with an arm brace on it by the definitions in the law.

ATF knows clearly what people are doing with the brace, but without 1) making braces illegal for everyone (bad optics and questionable authority), or 2) changing the definition of the brace (arguably impossible), or 3) changing the definition of a stock to be more precise (this is what they tried to do with their points system), they are not delegated the authority by law to do anything about it.

Sir, what does that question have to do with anything I said?

Of course someone who isn't handicapped shouldn't park in a handicapped designated space. That has absolutely nothing to do with someone who isn't handicapped buying an AR pistol brace.

Sir, all we have is handicap parking strawman arguments........ move along.....

When you come on a board and regurgitate dem talking points, you're probably going to see blowback. If you engage in strawman arguments to defend said points, it's going to get worse. Interesting that you just called everyone stupid but whined about ad hom.

You take your ball and go home now......
