That's my point, man, a young girl has to get her kicks, she'll want to live in the city. It's easy to say you don't mind driving, but once it actually happens, commuting really sucks. I also lived in Mesta Park after I moved out of the Paseo, the apartment I rented was $350 a month, which I thought was pretty darn cheap. It was nice enough, recently renovated. I wouldn't hesitate to move back to any part of OKC. The Paseo is a really fun area, and anywhere near the Asian District is where it's at. I used to eat like a king in those days.....

there is a nice new complex just south of i40 on McArthur pretty close to osu okc

A friend of mine used to live there if it's the apartments I'm thinking of. Has a small lake in the middle. Lots of Dell employees live around there.

In the winter if the roads ice over or if it snows there, she's stuck. The apartments doesn't plow or salt the parking areas and the parking there is very tight and not spacious. Lots of turns and twists through there. The area is "ok" with wide mix of people. Overall seemed pretty safe. Mostly chain restaurants and stores. There's some rough parts around there. The 10th street area north of I-40 is pretty rough with hookers and drug dealers and most of OKC's shadier brothels / strip clubs are near that area. Overall it's pretty tame, although 2 years ago, I heard gunshots clearly from the next complex over while I was visiting my friend there. Reported to the police, but didn't see a single patrol car in the area.

I live at the Deep Deuce apartments in Bricktown. It is nice, very safe, and walking distance from most things you would want to do. It is a bit on the pricey side, but safe places are never really cheap.
