The Democratic politburo has not yet slugged it out behind the scenes to determine who will emerge as VP candidate. No reason to announce early even if they had decided, given that all the choices have lousy appeal to the voting public. Better to delay as long as possible so as to give the republicans less time to capitalize on the political weaknesses of the VP/future president.
He's not even the "official" Dem candidate yet.
...ha! Right? Actually that story was just that he HAD 4 black women on the list, but they tried to play it the other way.
