Bringing firearm to work consequences

I had a manager that felt it was important to emphasize our company's no firearms policy. She kept trying to pick an argument about it because she knew my stance and I just smiled and whole heartedly agreed with her. She knew I was patronizing her and ended it with if you carry you're fired. I told her the entire point was that nobody ever knows if someone is carrying concealed

A few months later she mouthed off to the wrong guy who verbally blew up and started making threats over the phone that he was on his way to our office. She immediately came to me asking if I was carrying and "of course I wasn't" I then informed her I was concerned for my safety and took PTO for the rest of the day. I'll be damned before I stick my neck out for people that want to disarm me.

That is just priceless!

Not that I am aware of. She did ask me a few times what happened to being armed and what not. I would always reply that due to current policy I was only authorized to scream like a girl and engage tennis shoes.

At the range one time my lady friend brought her Bersa Thunder 22 for a group of newbies to shoot,,,
Since I had already brought my Thunder 22 I put hers in the secret compartment of my briefcase.

I just didn't want to get the two guns mixed up.

Long story short (depicting a major Senior Moment/Brain Fade),,,
We couldn't find her pistol later that evening,,,
I just forgot what I had done.

We scoured the grass lot where I had parked,,,
Eventually after many thorough searches,,,
We gave up on it.

So anyways, it's a leather briefcase from Gun-Toten Mama's,,,
Almost everyone I worked with knew it had a holster,,,
But they also knew I locked my pistol in my car.

Flash forward about 4 months and I'm sitting in my office,,,
All of a sudden it dawned on me where I had stashed that danged Bersa.

I immediately took the briefcase to my car,,,
And locked the pistol in the box where I kept my personal pistol.

A few months later I related the story to my friend,,,
She is HR and told me that they would "have had no choice"

If someone would have found seen the pistol,,,
I would have been immediately placed on administrative leave,,,
And after the required paperwork frenzy I would have been terminated.

I would have lost the great OSU retirement pension I now enjoy.

I was attending a rather large event at my University building,,,
One of our incredibly fat female professors tripped,,,
She fell flat on her face on a ceramic tile floor,,,
The contents of her purse went everywhere.

I saw what happened but didn't go to help her,,,
I just dropped my jacket at my feet,,,
And knelt down to pick it up.

Several of my friends/co-workers were mad at me for that,,,
They couldn't understand how I could just stand there and watch her.

She was tended to rather quickly though,,,
Several other people gathered up all her stuff and returned it to her,,,
She was very agitated though and kept looking around the large open room.

It was probably 15 minutes before I could get her attention alone,,,
So I could return the S&W Model 36 Lady Smith she was carrying in her purse.

If that revolver would have been noticed by anyone else,,,
She would have lost her Tenure package,,,
And would have been fired.

The next day I showed her where to buy a ladies purse,,,
That had a secure holster built into the lining.

She knows that I probably saved her career that day,,,
For several months after that I got a plate of baked goodies every Monday morning.
