Can you maybe get it repaired under warranty? Gun manufacturers, more than most manufacturers on average, are very good about fixing problems sometimes even when not covered under warranty, or they are not technically obligated to. I would sure look into that, maybe you can get it repaired.Simply this, purchased a rifle that the seller had never fired after taking it in on a trade. The action was very stiff but figured probably just dirty. Long story short rifle will not cycle even after cleaning and I will not pass it on to anyone else in this condition. Personally in this situation I would simply have taken the rifle back. I probably should have simply not made the purchase. I won’t drag people through the mud because I don’t think it was intentional. But after contacting the seller there was no mention of canceling the deal.
Most retailers in fact won't take a malfunctioning new gun back, but will help you send it in for warranty repair.
