Anyone ever try it? I'm trying to find me some Sloe Gin, something that apparently distributors don't carry in Oklahoma.

I'm not sure if there any laws against shipping liquor into the state. Also, if anyone has ever done this, website recommendations would be great. :)

Herm. I visited the website Danny listed. A trail of weblinks later led me to this.

http://www.oksenate.gov/publications/legislative_summary/LegisRevu98.dir/lr98intliq.html

HB 2807 (Davis/Smith): Prohibits any manufacturer, wholesaler, or retailer of low-point beer or alcoholic beverages, located and doing business from outside of Oklahoma, to make retail sales of low-point beer or alcoholic beverages to purchasers located in Oklahoma or to ship low-point beer or alcoholic beverages sold at retail to persons located in Oklahoma. The bill provides a felony penalty for such a sale to a person under 21 years of age, and a misdemeanor penalty for such a sale to a person over 21 years of age. Also, the bill requires revocation of a violator's permit issued by the Oklahoma Tax Commission with respect to low-point beer or license with respect to alcoholic beverages issued by the Oklahoma Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission.

Now, some of the websites I found blindly will ship to Oklahoma (but not to a lot of other states). My curiosity is the wording with that house bill. I realize no one here can probably give me a definitive answer, but I'm curious if it's low-point beer or alcoholic beverages or low-point beer or low-point alcoholic beverages. Guess it depends on what attaches to the adjective. Maybe that's how websites get away with it, being as spirits are not low point, and wine generally is considered low(ish) point.

Eh well.
