I’ve wanted a .243 AR for awhile.

The .243 would require an AR-10. I’m shooting a .243 WSSM that will fit the AR-15 platform.

Crying babies work better. I guess in a pinch one could use a crying SJW or election denier. They sound remarkably the same.

i have been using a 17 wsm lately with pretty good results. sometimes i use the foxpro

I just bought a FOXPRO and hoping to get to use it next week. But I think I will only use my .17 HMR with Hollow Point ammo. I've shot shioliotte at 235 yards at metal pig matches here locally. I've never done yotes before, only Prairie Dogs one time, and the .17 was just fine. What do you all suggest. My .17, 243, or my AR 223/556

I think I’d go with .17 but AR and .243 would be good too.

I called in 1 this morning but missed, was using my new to me contender in .223. Should been a chip shot at 50.

almost all the farmers here carry a 17 and the yotes go down just fine. the furthest i ever shot a yote with the 17 wsm was 400 yards and he went down hard. i will admit though that the shot was a perfect set. the wind does bother the 17 more.

I’ve only had the opportunity at one coyote with my 17hmr, and he didn’t appreciate the experience. It was about a 150 yard shot, and when hit, he ran in a circle before crashing.

I shot two a couple weeks ago with a 270 Win and handloaded 150 gr SST’s, and they worked exceptionally well even giving the satisfying “poof” of hair on impact.

I’m looking for a relatively inexpensive 243 for a dedicated coyote rifle that I can leave at my OK house, but I’m not having much luck right now. I think I’m going to wait until after deer season and maybe closer to tax time when folks get to needing some cash.
