Meh, I've read enough threads around here to know what I was getting into.
It's difficult to take someone serious when this is true:
Bottom line is he's a troll (in that case I suppose he's having "fun") or he's a coward (Interesting that he felt the need to create another screen name to have a "discussion" about gun control.) My guess he's a little of both. Either way, no respect from me. It's kinda hard to have a "civil" discussion with someone who's agenda includes being deceitful right from the get-go ...
BB, it's not uncommon for people to have the same IP address. I'm not sure he's a troll. That's an awful lot of work for someone to put in. If he is, I think he gets an "A" in trolling, because he hasn't been snarky or crappy yet, and because he must be dedicated.
On the other hand, someone may be getting a laugh at our expense. That would be in line with the week I have had. Glad it's almost over.

Ya know, Here's the thing.... I am frankly, really reluctant to discuss anything that doesn't go right in line with the general belief system around here because I've seen how that works out for others. Sure, there's some wiggle room, but not a lot. If he's someone who's been around long enough to see that, he may have decided to just hide behind another identity.
But as JB said, he hasn't come in here and started calling names. He did what JB invited him to do... have a conversation.
EDIT - and now that I've read all through the last few pages, I'll say the worst he's done is get a little frustrated. He's remained really civil. More civil than I would if I were dog piled like he's been.

You know, regardless of trolling or not it is good to have some opposing viewpoints bantered about. All too easy to preach to the choir and just think 80% of people think like us. Presenting an opposite viewpoint makes us better debaters for anti family members and friends.
