Challenge to Gun Control Advocates

Every one is entitled to their view. The problem is the lurkers are here, whether driven by fear or propaganda that the general population is a bunch of Homer Simpsons, too dumb to take care of themselves and the government must do it for them and we have ignert a-holes on here who just prove their point.

As far as our small public library is concerned, I HAVE donated many books and tapes. Whereas certain ignert ones here couldn't find a library with a compass, a map, and their mommy to hold their hand and lead them.

I found this forum very recently adn thought it might be a good place to find some intelligent, like minded individuals. Instead it seems to be mostly patrolled by a few elitest asses intent on seeing how obnoxious they can be. Good day and good riddance.

OSA is kind'a like Glenn Beck used to be before he went all wierd. He'd quite often speak directly to his new listeners and inform them that until they had listened to the show for at least 6 weeks or so not to take it too seriously. He was quite sincere when delivering that message and meant every word.

Perhaps a similar disclaimer should be posted and agreed to before any new user can register.

Something along the lines of: This forum's users are a quite diverse group. In order to survive here without going mad you must have 1) a sense of humor 2) a working sarcasm detector 3) an IQ above room temperature 4) above average literacy or be an illiterate moron (in betweens will suffer) and 5) a really, really thick skin. If you don't meet at least 4 of the 5 requirements then run, run quickly and don't look back.

I like it. It always amazes me the folks (not turkeyrun, I like him ) that get all tied up in here. It's just the interwebz ...

Another vote for this disclaimer as part of the registration process or, at a minimum, in the TOS.

Ehhh, I'm sure I've been guilty as charged a time or two. I'm trying to think if I dislike any of these ya-hoos in this thread ... Ahhhh ... Hmmmm ... Nope. They are all good folks. I've met several of them and even dog-sat for that pesky little SoonerDVM a time or two. Her dog really likes me so I kinda have to just put up with her! LOL

You know, I float around the place and am a member on several other boards. None of them have the "flavor" of OSA ... I've even gotten pissed and left a time or two ... But I always manage to find my way back.
