Get off my lawn.
I didn't give a ride or money to a lady in the mall parking lot one time. Maybe her story was legit, but she made my neck hairs tingle. Maybe the guy was just looking out for his family.

I know when I'm alone, I'm a lot more willing to take certain risks. With my wife I'm less willing. If I had kids I'd be much more cautious.

I was riding a little dual sport Yamaha XT225 a couple years ago. I was cruising out west of Norman. A guy on a big street bike was broken down. I think it was a Harley. His throttle cable was broken. I'm probably too big for the XT225 just by myself. This guy weighed around 235 I would guess. He hopped on the back and I dropped him off a few miles up the road. I bet we looked RIDICULOUS on that motorcycle. hahaha I was revving it pretty good to make it up hills carrying 450lbs.

All I envision is Dumb and Dumber on the scooter.

reminds me.

Just the other day I was at atwoods carrying a sack of feed on my shoulder walking towards the register, out the corner of my eye I see this very old man 80ish? (with a cane) walking all the sudden he saw me heading to the register and he bolts from the side (damn near runnin'!) sets his little battery on the register counter as I was one step from register. I grinned ear to ear because it was so funny. I mean what was the cane for?

My daughter left the radio on while my wife was in walmart a while back. She ran the battery down (it was weak and has since been replaced). She called me and told me the story and I head that way. Before I could get there a young man (20s) came out of walmart and saw the hood up and offered to help. He pulled his pickup around and used his jumper cables and got it going for her. I arrived in time to thank him and offer him $20 for his trouble. He refused and said he liked to help when he could. There are still good people out there willing to help and I do the same. However, you have to use some caution and common sense depending on the situation.

Ever think that maybe the guy really was in a hurry and didn't have time?

THIS.

I am the help anyone, anywhere type even to the point of putting myself into some situations that, in hindsight, were questionable. I've been in the exact situation before of absolutely not having the option to stop and assist... and I absolutely felt like **** too.

Try not to make ASSumptions.

Ek ;-)

If that guy is a member here... You really suck!

No doubt there are some GREAT people in the world, but I attribute them to being country folk who understand what it means to "Do unto others...."

I attribute it to people watching the news...

Man Mugged In Mall Parking Lot

POSTED: Monday, September 24, 2012 --- 11:30 a.m.

A Monona man was mugged Sunday afternoon while walking in the parking lot of Westgate Mall. He was approached from behind by a man who was asking for something. The 24-year old said he could not help him, and kept heading for a mall entrance. The robber next placed him in a bear hug, then a choke hold, and took him to the pavement. A woman, who was working in tandem with the mugger, ran her hands through the victim's pockets. Her male friend punched the victim and the criminals fled in a white pickup truck - possibly a GMC - with the victim's diamond earring, wallet, and phone. Witnesses said a gold Honda Accord, driven by a woman, also sped from the parking lot with the truck and that it appeared she was also connected to the robbers

Suspects descriptions:
Male, white, 6', 30's, medium build, short blonde hair, wearing a red t-shirt and shorts.

Female, white, blonde hair, 20's, thin build, wearing a white tube top, dark blue knee-length shirt, and flip flops.
