I loaned my spare tire to a lady once. Seriously.

She was on the side of an entrance ramp leaving stillwater, and had clipped the curb, blew both right side tires. She was in a Toyota that used the same size spare as my Camry did.

Guess what? I got it back too. And I'd do it again.

People are being taught to fear, hate and divide. On the one hand I'm damned if I hold a door open or say "mam" because I don't respect women. On the other I'm damned if I don't for the same reason. If you let someone else define your values you'll never be happy. Chivalry isn't dead. It's just hiding out until the dust clears.

I think it is funny you live in Broken Arrow and consider you self from the country.

I grew up on a 200 acre working farm. My parents busted their butts to put me through college so I wouldnt work the farm. Well we just bought a new farm to move back to the country. Want to question anything else?

I refused to help a guy late one night at QT at 11th and 169. He came up and said he just got out of prison and was needing money go get a ride home. I laughed at him and said "buddy I've got 4 kids and a wife in the car... You think I have spare money for you.." He huffed and puffed and tried "telling" me to give him money. I just laughed again and got in the car and drove off...

I felt kinda bad...
But then again I'm a dick!

I dont think that it is fair to say that. You hear too many stories about a person trying to help someone else and get robbed/killed. Alot of people are just not willing to take that risk. Your wife being in a mall parking lot with the sun shining shouldn't have worried anyone that might help. I too will usually stop and help people by changing tires, jump start, lend cell phone, etc. I do however draw the line at giving someone a ride, its a liability that I am not willing to take.
