OU probably can't afford Heupel now, just beat Alabama again too bad Bob got trigger happy and fired him. He's laughing all the way to the bank now.
I do think Heupel benefited from getting fired. Look back at his schemes, recruits (Trevor Knight was the best) and play calling back when he was at OU. It was all bad and both him and OU benefited from his departure.

Getting a fresh start at Utah State really helped him grow and OU got LR. Lincoln ended up really shafting OU in the end but he was a big plus for several years before that rough end.

Both OK schools are stepping on their own dycks this season, especially OSU. Also, looks like both HCs need to clean house on their staff. In the end the lossess are their responsibility for hiring/keeping their problem staff. Lastly, I see two or three references to Lincoln Riley in post today. Probably time to let that name go. Whatever issues OU is having this season are all on the HC and his staff with a few injuries mixed in.

Brent in his third year is 20-13. $10 mil per year better start paying to play or at least hire people that know the SEC game plans and can be competitive... There's lots of talent out there, but all OU seems to do is "hire within"..
