It would seem that some elements in our society are in need of a reminder about some basic unwritten rules of human interaction, such as YOU DON'T F*CK WITH OTHER PEOPLE'S KIDS.

Unfortunately, I have no faith that lawsuits will adequately get this point across, or ensure that tax eaters really think twice before pulling stunts like this in the future.

It would take a lot of restraint, but I wouldn't do anything when they are taking the kid. That is when they expect you to resist, and when they are prepared for it. Every instinct you would have as a parent would be telling you to fight, but you have to think rationally and realize that your dying doesn't make anyone better off. The article said they were allowed supervised visitation at some point though. That presents much better opportunities.

Children should only be taken without a court order if imminent danger can be shown. Dirty, over reaching govt employees should be fired. The problem is that even when they over reach, rarely is meaningful punishment delivered. The Indiana law is a great solution, I bet they check and double check before entering homes there now.

Yes but that's not where it started, he just used it to his advantage as some do today.

Don't think this can't happen in Ok.

We had a family member get into an argument with an inlaw relative, and got turned into the DHS.

Police and DHS rep showed up at the front door one night. They took the kids and it took awhile to settle it.

In Ok, all somebody has to do is report you for abuse.

Guilty or not, they will take your kids, and if you want to die in the process, go ahead and be a Rambo .

The DHS has way too much authority.
