Have a Pick Up listed on Craigslist and have two people that want to pay me through PayPal.. This has to be some sort of new scam but wondering what the deal is. Normally PayPal is pretty safe.. Only thing I can think of is they will try the same old stuff of over paying, wanting me to send them the difference then reverse the transaction..

If it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck.....

This is one of the emails...

Walks like a duck indeed.... Scam written all over it!
I too have some items listed on Craigslist and am flabbergasted at the amount of scam crap emails I have received! Can't trust any of 'em to be legit... It's terribly frustrating. I'm just an honest guy looking to sell a couple of things and having to endure the swarm of scammers has me truly flustered.
It's a damn shame, too....

They get you to bite and never send paypal money. Instead, they tell you that such a large sum of money is having issues so they need you to send them x dollars for this and that and they keep nickel and dimeing you for what you're worth.

Ask them to send their bank account number and other electronic transfer information to the Bank of Lagos, Nigeria for verification of the balance available in the account.

100% scam, no doubt.

I like CL but you have to be smart about it and don't fall prey to the scams. I usually just forward any scam emails I recieve on to the FBI and then move on.
