Have a Pick Up listed on Craigslist and have two people that want to pay me through PayPal.. This has to be some sort of new scam but wondering what the deal is. Normally PayPal is pretty safe.. Only thing I can think of is they will try the same old stuff of over paying, wanting me to send them the difference then reverse the transaction..

If it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck.....

This is one of the emails...

Thanks...

Yup, it's a scam. I dealt with someone who sent me the EXACT same email. He wanted me to put money into a "paypal" account, and when I did some looking/digging, the account was in Turkey and had nothing to do with PayPal. I say screw with him and waste his time as well.

I had my 86 mustang listed on autotrader or something once and I got this email saying this person was going to use it in a movie and they were going to send me say $5,000 and then i use the difference to ship the car to somewhere. This was 6 years ago. Classic Nigerian Scam

I've bought and sold several items on CL. In fact my wife's Tahoe and my GTO were purchased from CL sellers. Always used Cash or met the person at their bank. Just have to be careful and watch out for the scamming junk..
