We were walking down the promenade deck inside when the ship started to roll to one side. It got pretty far over and just about when I thought ‘oh crap, this isn’t good’ it started to right itself. Our kids were at the pool and they said half of the water ran out and all of the deck furniture was against one side.

I think we've taken around seven cruises and enjoyed them but now we have Covid so that's out at least for the time being. I'm surprised that environmentalists or some wise guy in politics hasn't criticized the cruise industry for the pollution and fuel used by the cruise industry plus food waste. They must have some influential lobbyists from the cruise industry.

Go on a cruise they said........it'll be fun they said.

I am an old salty sailor. Looking at those videos I’m not impressed with any of the weather conditions. I’ve seen FAR worse. Bet the waves I’ve seen were over 40 foot. My ship was over 800 foot with an enclosed main handling passage that ran the length of the starboard side. I could see the passage way twisting. That was spooky. What I was seeing was ships that did not have proper ballast. They wouldn’t or shouldn’t have been bobbing like that. Little boats do that. Large ships shouldn’t. Like they were low on fuel or didn’t put enough sea water in their ballast tanks. Most of that was avoidable.
