Now those boats are an entirely different creature. You definitely got a ride in one.Rode the flat bottomed LST's, LPD's and LSD's (gator freighters) around the Med, carribean, and north Atlantic in the 70's. Storms made for exciting days.

dittoMy wife would love to go on a cruise, but it will have to be with her next husband.
We did one, an Alaska cruise about 5 years ago. Really enjoyed it, and I'd do another. Preferably Hawaii, Alaska, Canada... the Caribbean cruises just don't interest me as much, although I'd do that too.
Our Royal Caribbean cruise moved from port to port overnight, we arrived at each port around 6-7 am every morning and were able to take photos arriving at each port from our balcony or out on an open deck.Same here on the Caribbean cruises. No way I want to be at sea for days on end with nothing but water to take pictures of. At least with the Alaskan cruise and land tour that we did in 2005, the ship(s) go up through the "Inside Passage," so there are lots of interesting sights to see, as well as all the various types of ships and boats along the way.
