Cz 452!

I thought you shot my CZ452 Varmint, Dan. My stock looks just as good as CY's. In fact, all the CZ stocks I've seen look awesome including the couple of 527's and 550's that I've shot. I've been looking at getting a CZ instead of the SPS 700 for my next .204 Ruger... been super impressed with the quality of them.

I don't think I've seen your CZ. If it has that nice of wood, I'm pretty sure I would have remembered it.

I have the Special Trainer model. The wood is basic, but good. I like it because I got it for cheap iron sight practice for my milsurps and it kinda follows the milsurp theme. I would like a purdy one to go with it eventually.

my 452 stock is closer to AA grade, not exhibition grade.
still .. pretty nice wood

there is prolly an unwritten code of ethics concerning putting a scope on this rifle. since it is a 22 mag, i think it needs to be at least a 100 yard gun. my old eyes can't see the target out that far. this will be a part-time coyote gun so i mounted a hawke nite-eye 3x9x40 with illuminated reticle and see-thru mounts. i will need to use some sort of cheek rest with the scope. the setup may be temporary just to get it sighted in.

Having a soft spot for both CZs and Mannlicher stocks, I picked up this tiger striped beauty in the used section of Cabela's in Kansas City yesterday. Since CZ-USA is based in KC, I wonder if this 452FS was a hand-picked example from an employee or something. Anyhow, it was simply too pretty to walk away from and the price was very fair. It's in .22LR.
