Watching the video's of the vets today, they were all in pretty heavy jackets with lap blankets.
Edit: A 102 year old vet of that invasion died on a ship that was headed to that area for the memorial.
If I were his family, I'd mourn the loss, but think this is how he would want to go.

I have no words to express my thanks and respect to all who stormed those beaches, dropped in by air, etc. 'Brave' doesn't even come close.
