I saw that Wal-Mart on 240 received a delivery of Winchester 555's this morning. I drove by there at 5:45 this morning and just kept going, didn't even go in. Maybe, if everyone else did that a couple times a week we would be able to get ammo at lunchtime instead of before breakfast.

I applaude your thought process. I can't remember the last time we made a trip "just for ammo". If we are there and they have some fine. If not, well, we got a little exercise going from produce to sporting goods. Just remember, no good deed goes unpunished ... :wink2:

Indeed. Last time I got ammo at Walmart was at dinnertime, when they had - surprisingly - some WWB .38 Special. I picked up a couple boxes, and left several more on the shelf. It's still pretty bare in there though, with .40 S&W about the only pistol caliber available from week to week.

I'm with you. Saw 2-325rd boxes of Federal Auto Match, about 1k Rem golden bullets, and another brand I don't remember at a Wal-Mart and kept on going.

However, my daughter's .243 shoots Win. Power Points like a mf'er so I bought all 3 boxes that another Wally had. But in my defense, she was down to only 6rds prior to deer season.

As much as I dislike slum mart, and due to them being the only place in town to go, I stop in and swing by the ammo counter once a week, maybe. If I am lucky that day I can get a couple boxes of .22 or some 9mm, if I am lucky.
They do have the morning crowd who hogs the counter starting around 6am and hang out for a couple hours, afraid they will mis that days shipment of ammo come in.

Eh whatever, I am not waiting in line at slum mart for ammo. If its there, its there, if not I move on.

Lately I have found more .22 online than anywhere else, heck I have even sold some here on the board, and not raped or gouged for the price either. I sold 2000 rounds a little over 2 weeks ago and have since purchased at least 2500 rounds. Its out there, you just have to look. And no I did not pay inflated prices.

Last night I browsed gunbroker and was shocked at what folks were bidding for .22, freaking crazy they are for paying it.
