It was on world news tonight that there is and egg shortage related to bird flu and the upcoming holidays increased usage.

Probably like other folks did that watched the broadcast we ran over to Homeland by the house and picked up a couple dozen.....they had already been picked over pretty good.

Storage wise Google says that eggs will last in the frig for 3-5 weeks.

If I didn’t see stuff like this here, I’d live my life and have never known there was an egg shortage.🤣

I only have 3 hens laying but 6 more coming of age soon but im still getting 16 to 20 a week and i have started eating more now that i dont have to run to the store to get them i would say they are free eggs but after spending nearly $1k to build a coop and put a fence up plus all the feed they really not free but are better tasting.

More than likely just an excuse to raise prices.
They said the same thing about coffee recently and I never saw any shortages, just prices going up.
My wife saw that same report.
About a week later she got the 5 gallon bucket of the coffee beans we like to grind daily.
Spent an entire day vacuum sealing 1 lb each only to find out they outgas tremendously. The next day, they were football sized, so had to freeze the beans first, then vacuum seal. Half of an upright freezer is coffee beans now.
We are the SHTF coffee shortage outlet store now. 😂
