The Mossberg model 88 "Maverick" really is the best kept secret in the HD shotgun world. It's basically a model 500 with a different safety, which most shooters prefer. It's got a safety similar to that of the Remington 870 and almost all model 500/590 parts will interchange. All for around 200 bucks.

DanB, very nice, that's exactly what a Police Magnum is supposed to look like...sweet!

Oh, and keep the extension...no one has ever complained about having too many rounds. First thing I did on mine was put on a tube extension.

After I get the work done on my Jeep on Friday. This shotgun is going to get torn down and cleaned up. I would love to be able to find the sight piece locally so I can get them dialed in. Otherwise I need to get online and order the replacement.

Didn't you know that the High Chair is the latest thing in secondary items in photographs.

You will start to see pictures of rolling meadows, waterfalls, sports activities and family photos. In the middle of each will be a high chair.

That looks great.There's nothing better than an 870 with or without the magazine extension, but I prefer the extension. You can't have too much firepower.
