I'll admit it is kinda convoluted at first. More like a "whodunit" I guess?
They do manage to tie everything together before it's over. And the ending is a genuine shocker (was for me anyway), but good.
We have it on DVD.
Not technically a movie, but THE LIBERATOR on netflix is a 4 episode series that follows members of the 45th Infantry division that trained at fort sill and fought in many battles during WWII. Based on true events.
It has an filter overlay to make the film look like a graphic novel, which seems strange, but the story is good.

Dirty Dozen is a classic.
The Eagle has Landed was good.
Sahara was really good, both the 1943 and 1995 versions.
Sole Survivor 1970 was good....
the story of the b24 Bomber "Lady be Good" was pretty crazy. any ya'll heard that story? got lost on a bombing mission, thought they were bailing out over the ocean...Ended up bailing into the Libyan desert.
History Channel had a special on it...before the history channel went to ****....
Europa Europa was good.
that Holocaust series from 1970 was good. there's a lot of really good ones. I'm kinda a history buff so i could probably sit here all day naming them.
