It never occurred to me to watch out for a fawn. Maddox did not seem excited to see the fawn. He may not have understood what it was. I hope to see the fawn soon when Mom decides to show him to the world.
Didn't see any pups, but did have a coyote trot along side the combine last night. Guess he was looking for an easy meal. I've never seen so many big fat field rats.
Shootin field rats is loads of fun with a .22. I missed out last weekend and had around 14 running out the side of my tiller.
Came up the driveway this afternoon and spooked a little fawn. It tried to get through the fence and got a barb in its leg.
Got out to help, but the fawn got itself loose.

Apparently, a fawn was lucky that both of my mowing tractors were down, because for the last few days, I've been scaring it up from the long grass near my driveway when I leave for work. If either tractor had been working, I'd've probably found it with the brush hog, which would've made me sad...

Not only are the fawns dropping, antlers are growing. :-) Iapologize, I took these with the phone from the back of my DSLR. I will add the actual pictures later.

I love pictures of bucks in velvet. It's really cool to see the antlers take shape.
