Upon review of all the parties’ evidence, the court seriously doubts that the banned assault long guns are commonly possessed for lawful purposes, particularly self-defense in the home, which is at the core of the Second Amendment right, and is inclined to find the weapons fall outside Second Amendment protection as dangerous and unusual.

I would dare say, that the AR platform is the primary rifle used in Varmint hunting these days, and I know for myself, it has became my choice for deer.

Three gun, Sporting Rifle competitions are heavily in favor of the AR.

I'm shooting a .223 in a 600 yd competition later this month.

I have a safe full of bolt guns. They don't get a lot of use unless I need a big bore for big game.
