My thought was that if they want to chain themselves to the trailer, hook up to it and start driving to town. Since they would be chained to the trailer, they would get to walk all the way.

my original thought was a quarter of a mile off road and tell them before I took off they better unhook their chains because it's a long way for water because I don't think they will not be able to move the trailer without help
