So, whats the good word? Any news?
Due to the holiday, I haven't heard anything new in the last few days.
So, whats the good word? Any news?
My :two cents:
Horrible work, can't believe any responsible shop would have ever let a customer see much less hand over that hack job.
However; he accepted the work, paid cash and left.
Therefore, it is his. I'm sorry, he should have never paid them and left.
***** about it all you want, post pics and reviews, spread the word about crappy work, but you now own it.
That is an interesting point of view on the matter but I disagree. Just because he paid for the work doesn't mean the shop is released of their responsibility. If it was cosmetics only then maybe, but this is a safety issue that could result in serious damage. I would tell them that after purchasing it, you had a concern and had it inspected. Hopefully this shop is going to step up. In my eyes, the only way to make it right is to replace the parts, have a competent shop do the work at no cost to the customer. Sure, $75 worth of work isn't worth all the trouble but it's the minimum that should be done to save any reputation.

My buddy is still in the process of getting a couple of opinions from other gunsmiths but I think small claims is where this is headed.
