fte problem with ar15

Agree with the fire control comments. Is it worn or has somebody tried to improve it? If you need parts to try I think I have a hammer & trigger.

I just meant that I never expected that a thread that started with a "fte problem" would end up with part of the issue being a non-5.56 bolt in a 5.56 rifle.

Me either, until I saw the picture. Heck, I didn't even know a non-5.56 bolt would get lock-up in a 5.56.

Kennedy, I'm thinking you are lucky that you only experienced a FTE.

I'd be less forgiving than you towards the guy that bubba'd that up for you. No excuse for a legit gunsmith. "Fixed" a full-auto gun by swapping the bolt, and put the wrong caliber bolt in? Clown-shoes.
