That's an odd looking AR bolt there...looks more like a SCAR bolt face. Other than 5.56?

How do the extractor spring and buffer look?

Not sure what else to add via internet. Break it all down, clean and inspect....let us know what the resolution was.

I'm just looking at the picture you posted. Is that your bolt? It doesn't look like any standard 5.56MM AR-15 bolt that I've seen. Of course I'm assuming you are running a standard DI 5.56 gun.

Maybe CAR will jump back in....

Winner winner chicken dinner....SMS!!!!...it's a 9mm bolt...going to exchange it now. Thanks everyone for your help.

It is way bigger than 5.56, but it is not a 9mm. 9mm is blowback and has no locking lugs. 9mm also does not have a seperate bolt head. It is machined as part of the carrier. I think SMS was right about it being a x39 or some other caliber.

Glad you got it figured out.
