Off subject a bit....

We had a plumbing leak in our house and it lead to about $45,000 worth of damages.
After they paid to have it fixed they dropped us.
I guess that's a great big fat loss for them.

I honestly feel that insurance agents are about as low or lower then used car salesman - Just for this I may drop travelers from my renters insurance and find someone else. I have no loyalty to them - and obviously they have no loyalty to their customers...

Let me get this right. People are telling you to get an attorney to sue a giant insurance company so they will insure you? LOL.

I'm sure the thousands of dollars it would end up costing you would be well worth what you might/might not lose by giving your money to a company that actually wants it and isn't pushing you away... This is genius.

The problem is this. I have all my cars insured through State Farm. I went today to get a policy through them. They can't issue one because I have had a claim within 3 years. The one in May. They also advised me to try and keep this one.

The insurance called me back and said that they need a letter from the Vet stating the breed of the dogs. What a freaking mess.

Ever wonder why rates are as high as they are? Because folks cant quit suing the insurance companies when things don't go their way, for one. An insurance company is a private business. They have every right to insure who they want, when they want.

bad publicity makes buttholes pucker.

Insurance companies dont care. Especially Travelers. I do a lot on ins. work on homes. Travelers is probably one of the worst for the amount of pay and frequency of pay.

Homeowners ins. companies will drop you after making a claim. They are still down from the Katrina storm that went through the gulf states 5 yrs ago. Once you make a claim you are on the hit list. once they drop you it makes it hard to get homeowners anywhere.

Sounds to me like your dogs are mixed with pit bull or rotweiler. They hate that too. The funny thing about that analogy is labs bite more people every yr than either one of those two breeds , but , ins companies dont get there panties all wadded up over labs.

They are legal bookies and they have a lot of money. Politicians like a lot of money. So they use the states to create laws that force people and businesses to buy into their scheme. Its really a terrible racket unless youre a nationwide ins. company then its a terrific racket.

This is the way auto ins. should work. Your ins. pays for your car to be fixed and no one elses. So if you hit someone with no ins. they are sol .

Could that be because Labs are the No. 1 most common dog breed in the USA (according to AKC registrations up to 2009)? I wonder if Labs bite more per capita than Rotts or Pits...
