I would recommend Dr. Bradley Reddick at Southwest Orthopaedic and Reconstructive Specialists at 8100 S. Walker in OKC. I had both knees get partial replacements back on January 22. One thing I really liked was that they don't use physical therapy places, but instead, give the patient a series of exercises to do prior to surgery and add some for after surgery. If insurance pays, they have a home health service come to one's house to help with monitoring one's progress and adding a few exercises.

In my case, my recovery was excellent with gaining flexibility in my knees much better than the average patient's case. I went to one of their clinics recently for a checkup and x-rays and the PA asked me to "try to walk 1/2 to a full mile a day." I showed her the pedometer app on my phone showing that I was already doing 2 miles a day or more.
Thanks Terry for the recommendation! We'll check him out and put him in our accepted list!

My old boss had his knee surgeries done by Dr. Bobb in Norman. He had ligament replacements done in one knee, and at least one complete knee replacement (it seems like he was going to have the other replaced, but I can't recall if he got it done). He spoke very highly of Dr. Bobb.

On the durability of the replacement joint, when he originally needed one, the doctor didn't want to do it because he was too young--at the time, he was in his 40s and the artificial joints only had a 20 year lifespan, which meant that they would have to replace it at least once, and possibly twice, during his lifetime. About that same time, I heard a news report about a new artificial knee that had a projected 30-year lifespan, and when he talked about that with Dr. Bobb, they decided to go ahead with the replacement.

This was about 15 year ago, so those projected lifetimes could've been 10 and 20 years, but I remember that the new joint was a big deal because of the ten year jump. I guess if you're old enough they could be a lifetime replacement...

My Dr. at McBride retired in December after 45 years!!! He handed me off to his colleague Dr. Thomas Tkach. They both have developed the knee that I have. Dr. Thomas Tkachs' son is also an Ortho, Dr. Chistopher Tkach, but I was told the Father was more referred to.
Dr Tkach replaced both my knees. He’s retired now too. I don’t know about the son.

That would be Dr. Thomas Tkachs's dad, Dr. Stephen Tkach. One of Dr. Thomas Tkachs's son is a Dr. there(Chirstopher) and his brother is soon to join the team.
