i was at the wal mart neighbor hood market at nw 64 and Macarther a few days a go and they have a bunch of ham in bone for .99 cents a pound , the big 8-10 pounders, on an end cap.
I'd jump on a lot more of those food deals if I had the right pickup ...

We came across a deal like that for the 20 pounders around Christmas. But I think we paid a 1.49 a pound. I sliced them up for lunch meat and vacuum sealed them in 1lb packages for freezing.
It ended up at about 2.50 a pound for the slice meat by the time you removed the bone and the chunks of fat. And the tiny chunks of meat for like salads or or threw them in omelets.
Which was hell of lot cheaper than the $6 a pound she had been paying for the honey smoked ham lunch meat.
