At least for the moment I'm committed to the pre-2000 platform, despite owning 4 newer than that. As soon as I get the 2002 Chevy put back together from its "refurbishment", I'm going to thin the herd of everything with an electronic throttle body. I've had it with the computer controlled "everything in pursuit of fuel economy" lag. If I die in an accident from being T-boned or a head on collision, my wife has instructions to sue Ford because the only reason it happened is because the computer turned the damn car off while I was trying to cross or turn in front of oncoming traffic.
