Many probably added their vote the 2nd time for political pandering knowing it made no difference and casting a 2nd nay vote could hurt their political standings.

So they can claim they voted for it to those us of who are for it and show that they initially voted against it and caved when it became clear it would pass anyways to those who are against it.

Jackholes.

I gotta go back and watch some of the video when I get time... when does this become effective if GBH signs it???

Pardon my ignorance but what is the deal. First vote 61/37, second vote 74/24, so some of them changed their minds?

There's actually several votes. This is normal. House comes up with a new law. They send it to the senate. Senates votes/makes changes send it back. House votes the changes to it again. Then final vote follows. Sometimes a bill can be kicked around for a long time.

Does anybody have a link to a guideline of what the requirements are going to be for this? Do they have a rough draft written? So far all I've got is that you have to have a CCL. Is there going to be any more to it?

Basically it just changed the Concealed Carry law to be Concealed and Open both. To carry open you have to have a CCL.

The current status shows "Motion to Reconsider" and I'm hoping one of you with legislative experience can explain. I just sent an email to R.Duncan asking what it means.

This is from the Tulsa World.

Rep. Rex Duncan, R-Sand Springs, the House sponsor, held the bill on a motion to reconsider as a procedural move to retain control of the bill. He said he believes Henry will sign the measure.
